Many high schools and colleges have marching bands. When you are a member of a marching band you will need to have a marching band uniform. When everyone is wearing the same marching band uniforms it looks very professional and organized. Everyone will know which band you are playing with by the uniform you wear. Men's marching band uniforms are usually pants and matching jacket. The uniform jack can be a fitted jacket or a baseball style jacket. Many times the baton twirlers will wear matching uniforms or something that compliments the marching band uniforms. When you see a marching band going down the street and they are not wearing matching uniforms it makes you think that they are not organized or just starting out. Sometimes local companies supply the marching band uniforms in exchange for having their logo somewhere on the jacket.
